To say that the United States’ recent imposition of tariffs on solar panels, steel, aluminum, and numerous Chinese-origin goods has disrupted (or is poised to disrupt) many supply chains is an understatement. U.S. companies are fervently working to understand the new trade environment, apply the new rules, and adopt new strategies for the international marketplace. As even more tariffs affecting additional imported products are being threatened by the U.S. and its trading partners, U.S. companies need to stay up-to-date on the fast-moving developments, assess the potential impact on their operations and international supply chains, and develop workable strategies for succeeding in both the long and short-terms.

This webinar, hosted by the Export Compliance Training Institute (ECTI) and presented by Melissa Proctor of Miller Proctor Law PLLC, will provide clarity on the scope of the new tariffs, provide U.S. importers, manufacturers, and retailers with a firm understanding of the new requirements, as well as effective strategies for minimizing supply chain disruptions. Specific topics will include:

The webinar will provide PowerPoint slides and include live video and commentary from Melissa Proctor, founder of Miller Proctor Law PLLC in Scottsdale, Arizona. For more than 22 years, Melissa has advised companies on a wide array of issues involving compliance with the customs, export, and international trade laws and regulations, as well as embargoes and economic sanctions programs. Webinar participants are invited to submit questions during the webinar; the final 30 minutes of the webinar will be allotted to answering attendees’ questions.
